You're practical guide to Umbraco Spark 2025

Are you ready for Umbraco Spark? We want to make sure that you have all the information you need, so we’ve made a list for you with everything you need to know.

Bringing the best Umbraco technical talks. The Umbraco Spark 2025 line up focuses on new features and techniques in Umbraco, .NET and the wider ecosystem. Covering everything from Umbraco v15, the new .NET hybrid cache and Open Telemetry to technical dept, big data and AI.

What's going on and when? 

Thursday 6th March, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM: Pre Spark Umbraco Hackathon - If you have an enthusiasm for working with Umbraco or a desire to take your first steps into contributing, come to Bristol the day before Umbraco Spark and get involved. You do not need a Spark ticket to join. If you are attending Spark and competing in the Package Jam then this is a great opportunity to work as a team in person.

Thursday 6th March, 7:00 PM: Umbraco Spark Pre party - Returning to the ultimate game bar in Bristol, Roxy LanesumBristol is inviting all conference attendees for a pre-party! This year we've got ping pong, duck pin bowling, ice-free curling, pool and even karaoke for you to get involved in. There will be some complimentary food and drinks too! This event is kindly sponsored by Gibe Digital, who are helping make this night happen.

Friday 7th March, 7:00 AM - 7:30 AM: Pre Spark Harbour Run - Get ready to lace up your running shoes and hit the Bristol pavements because we're hosting another easy-paced, social 5K run on the morning of Umbraco Spark! The run will be approx. 30minutes. Make sure to sign up so they don't leave without you! 

Meeting point: The Bristol Hotel, Prince Street, BS1 4QF.

Friday 7th March 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM: The Umbraco Spark Conference!! - The main event! Registration opens at 8:30 am. If you want to make sure that you’re registered, have a nice cup of coffee, pastry and the best seat - this is the time to arrive. We'll start promptly at 9:00 am.

Friday 7th March 6:00 PM: Spark After Party - As closing drinks come to an end at the conference venue, you're invited to share your thoughts and learnings from the day at The Caraboo @ Ritorno Lounge, not even a minute's walk from the conference venue! We've booked a private room upstairs. There'll be food and drinks available to order.

Umbraco Spark Package Jam & Package Awards

Alongside the speaker track, an extended hackathon will take place in a dedicated room where those involved in the Umbraco Package Jam on Thursday, 6th March, can finish up their package and be ready to bring it to the all-new Package Awards at the end of the conference. With experienced package authors on hand to guide you through, don't miss out!

We'll be voting on the ideas submitted and forming teams this week. If you're not on the mailing list for this but would like to be added, drop us an email @ umbracospark@gibedigital.com

Useful information

ARRIVAL
The venue will be open to conference attendees from 08:00. Upon entering the venue, head through the ‘transition zone’ (glass panels) and up to the 2nd floor. There will be a member of the Spark team in the foyer to greet and direct guests.
There's no need to bring a printed version of your ticket (save the trees!). We'll ask you on arrival for your name and sign you in.
TOILETS 
As you enter the event suite, the toilets are through the double doors at the far end of the room. There is also a gender-neutral toilet at the far end of the room. There are two accessible toilets, one at each end of the room.
CLOAKROOM
There is a free cloakroom within the event suite where you can store your belongings. 

PARKING
In partnership with the conference venue, we're able to offer Umbraco Spark conference attendees a 10% discount off parking at Millenium Square car park (only a 2-minute walk from the conference venue). All you need to do is share your car registration with a member of staff in the cloakroom during the conference and they will validate it for you!
QUIET ROOM & MULTI-FAITH ROOM
There is a dedicated Quiet Room to take a break, calm and relax as well as a Multi-faith room for people of faith and no faith. Both are located on Floor 1. These rooms are available to the public as well as conference attendees on a first come, first served basis and are not to be used for meetings. Please speak to a member of staff if you need a hand locating them.
